Pretty much my take as well…
I had a touch of the flu over the weekend, and still wasn’t feeling 100% this morning. So I stayed home and got LOTS of sleep.
Thankfully, it was warm under the covers, alone, with my kitties at the foot of my bed.
I’m feeling much better now.
I hope you’re enjoying my foray into the podcasting world. I’m having a good time with it. I think I needed something to spruce up my interest in blogging… and if this helps, then I’m all for it. I love this medium and how it allows me to share things with ‘the group’– mainly, you!
I won’t be abandoning blogging though. There will be days when I just have something to write out and not talk about. Besides, I know there are probably many of you out there that don’t have the ability to download podcasts or listen to them. I don’t want to alienate anyone.
Just keep in mind that you don’t need an iPod to listen to a Podcast. It’s just an MP3 file! 🙂
So with that said… on today’s podcast I talk about Valentine’s Day and what it means (or doesn’t mean) to me. And I share a bit about something that happened today– something in the romance department. 🙂
Happy Valentine’s Day indeed? We shall see.
Today’s podcast features two songs from Chet Baker, renowned jazz trumpeter and vocalist (with good looks to match!) You can download the songs at iTunes by following these links:
It’s crazy how things change so quickly.
During today’s visit to Kenosha, I noticed a lot of changes to my hometown. The last time I was there — only a month ago– these changes hadn’t occured. I’ve been living in Chicago for nearly 10 years now, and every time I go home, I notice more and more changes.
Things never stay the same– that’s the process of life. And that’s the basis of today’s podcast.
OK so I’m giving this a try…
Sometimes it’s easier for me to share my thoughts in spoken words rather than written words. So I have formed the Podcast version of RcktMan’s Launching Pad, called– of course– RcktMan’s Launching Padcast!
I hope this works! 🙂
Last night I, and dozens of other Chicago-area listeners, gathered at Clark’s on Clark, a neighborhood bar just a few steps from my front door, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of my favorite podcast, the Feast of Fools podcast.
Fausto Fernos, his hubby Marc Felion, and frequest guests Amanda Steinstein, Miss Ronnie, Ryan Slasinsky, Victoria LaMarr, and many others were in attendance… along with a bunch of dedicated listeners. It was a great time, and we all laughed hysterically at some of the antics– especially when Victoria LaMarr (dressed as Anne Coulter) took a seat on the anniversary cake!
Fausto and Marc and the gang are local celebrities, no doubt… but they are also friends. If you haven’t listened to their show yet, do yourself a favor and give it a listen. It’s worth every minute. They’re funny, informative, sometimes touching… it’s like a hug when you need it most.
Congrats to the Feast of Fools on their one-year podcast anniversary. And here’s to many more!
(Friday Flesh returns next week. Have a great weekend, everyone!)
