When I got home from work today, I turned on the computer and saw a message from this really hot guy on Yahoo Messenger that I’ve been drooling over for a long time now. I got all excited, but was a bit perplexed when the message said “Check out this hot stud: http://www.somewebpage.com“.
So of course, I clicked on the link.
It brought me to a Yahoo page where I was supposed to put in my user name and password.
And I did that.
And then I was brought to ANOTHER Yahoo page, where it asked for the same thing.
So I did it again.
And then it hit me.
DOH! You IDIOT! You fell for the oldest trick in the book!
Yup… I was about to be hacked big time. So quick like a bunny, I changed all my passwords for my Yahoo account.
And they went through.
The moral of the story: Always, Always, ALWAYS be suspicious of random links for you to click on, even if they’re from some hot guy
that you’ve been wanting to bang for the longest time. They are almost ALWAYS a ploy to get your passwords, your credit card numbers, or worse, your entire identity. Identity theft is out there and it’s cruel.
I just hope that I fixed everything fast enough.
What a STUPID mistake.
